Editorial Policy and Corrections
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This page explains how content on easycapitalism is made, so you can judge how much to trust it.
Who writes this site
easycapitalism is run by one independent creator, who researches, writes or edits, and reviews every page. There is no newsroom or team behind it, and I don’t pretend otherwise.
Our goal
To take real-world topics, whether money, current events, how things work or the products we buy, and explain them clearly, honestly and in one place.
How content is made
- Research. I use official sources, public data, company announcements and reputable publications.
- Drafting. I use software tools, including AI, to help gather information and draft some pages.
- Human review. I review each page before it goes live, check facts against sources, and edit or rewrite what’s wrong or unclear. If I can’t verify something, I leave it out.
- Your own words. I summarise and explain in my own words. I link to original sources instead of copying them.
Current affairs and news
Posts on current events are summaries and explanations of what’s publicly reported. I link to the original reporting where I can, and I update or correct posts as situations change. I avoid unverified claims and rumours, and I clearly separate facts from opinion.
Finance and money topics
These articles are for education. They explain concepts and don’t recommend that you buy or sell any security. See the Disclaimer.
Product comparisons and scores
- Specifications are collected from official manufacturer sources and public listings.
- Scores are calculated from specifications by a fixed formula, applied the same way to every product.
- Any opinion about a product is labelled as my own view and kept separate from the scores.
Independence from ads and affiliates
The site earns money from ads and affiliate links, but that money does not decide what I write, how I score a product, or what I recommend. See the Affiliate Disclosure. Sponsored content, if I ever publish any, will be clearly labelled.
Opinions
Opinion is labelled as opinion. Where I give a personal view, it is my view, not a statement of fact.
Corrections
I want the site to be right. If you find an error:
- Email me at hello@easycapitalism with the page link, what’s wrong, and a source for the fix if you have one.
- I’ll check it, usually within a few days.
- If you’re right, I’ll fix the page. For significant changes to meaning or facts, I’ll add a note saying the page was corrected and when.
Updates
Prices, specifications and news change. Pages show when they were last updated where it matters, and I revisit important pages from time to time.
Images and sources
I only use images I created, have a licence to use, or that are free to use. If I miss something, tell me and I’ll fix it quickly.
